The Marshall Liberal Government has established a new emergency relief fund to help people directly affected by the devastating Cudlee Creek bushfire – pledging $1 million to kick-start the donation drive.

The Hills Football League (HFL) Community fully supports and encourages our people to give generously to the South Australia Cudlee Creek Fire Appeal.

The State Emergency Relief Fund {SERF) has been activated following a formal declaration, of the Cudlee Creek fire as a declared emergency by the Governor of SA late yesterday.

The fund will be managed by a committee, comprised of four State Government employees and one community member, who will ensure public donations are distributed appropriately and fairly.

The HFL fully supports the State Government Initiative which builds on the outpouring of community support which has already occurred.

“The Government is pleased to be able to provide $1 million to kick-start the relief fund, which will go some way in helping our Hills communities start rebuilding their lives,” said Premier Marshall.

“The HFL acknowledges our Hills Community always gives generously in tough times and we’re encouraging South Australian Hills Businesses and Community members to consider making a donation.  “Every little bit helps – no matter how big or small. The loss of property and land across the Hills region has been immense and in the coming months, the community can use financial donations to help rebuild and get back on their feet.”
