Round 9 2019 - Nairne v Echunga

It’s time for Flashback Friday #9! On this round last year Echunga made the visit to Qube Logistics Oval and came home with all the chocolates as they belted the hosts Nairne by 14-goals. Joel Aish put 6 through the big sticks for the demons which would end up as part of his whopping 56-goal tally come the end of the season, finishing second in the competition behind Darcy Hourign on 73.

Lucky #7! This week’s “Flashback Friday” revisits HFL Media’s call of Round 7 last year when the eventual premiers in Hahndorf stormed home to a big win in front of the faithful against Blackwood. It’s that time of the week again! In our 6th “Flashback Fridays” HFL Media calls back to Round 6 last year when the eventual runners-up in Onka Valley took home a comfortable 5-goal win against Mt Lofty at our first trip to Balhannah Oval for the year. Goals were aplenty as Onkas were led by Jake Adcock with a bag of 4 and Lofty by Daniel ‘Speedy’ Gonzales with a handful of 5.

For our fifth week of “Flashback Fridays”, HFL Media revists Round 5 last year when Uraidla outlasted Blackwood in cold raining conditions to come home winners on their home turf by 5 goals. Uraidla were led by Braedon Renshaw with 4 and Nicholas Amato with 3 goals respectively in a victory that would foreshadow the Elimination Final clash between these two teams come the end of the season.

The Barkeroos were able to bounce back strong from their 81-point defeat to Hahndorf in the previous round to take the chocolates against their rivals by a comfortable 5-goals.
