Introducing HFL TV

One of the biggest innovations for the 2019 HFL Season is HFL TV.  Each week, every HFL Division 1 A-Grade game will be available to watch.

In addition, the selected Match Of The Week will be live streamed to selected venues across the Hills … complete with the Call Of The Wild commentary!

We’re still working out the finer details on when and where live HFL will be available for your viewing pleasure.  When we’ve got those, we’ll let you know.  In the meantime, bookmark the HFL TV link for your weekly dose of HFL Div 1 action!

HILLSFOOTY.COM is back for 2019, bigger and better than ever!

It’s a new year and new season for HILLSFOOTY.COM!  We’ve been doing some work during the off-season to make our coverage of the HFL 2019 Season bigger and better!

For starters, HILLSFOOTY welcomes Shane “Collo” Collins as a full-timer on the Call Of The Wild team!  Along with Pistols and Goldie, Collo will be a regular fixture during our live broadcasts.

For all you Rob fans out there, he’s back with special comments, joined by another new member of the HILLSFOOTY.COM team, Michael “Bawds” Bawden.

As for how we’ll get this coverage to you … there’s big news on that front as well.  It’s big enough to call for its own post …

2018 Mortgage Choice Hills Football League Division 1 Grand Final – Hahndorf v Uraidla

The last day on the 2018 Mortgage Choice Hills Football League calendar was a cracker. The sun was shining, and a huge crowd descended upon Lobethal Oval to see a full day of local footy at its best.

From the Mini Colts right up to the B Grade, Uraidla swept the finals. However, the tide turned when the A-Graders hit the ground. From the get go, the Magpies showed why they were the team to beat during the 2018 Div 1 A Grade season. Whilst Uraidla did their best to try and contain a rampant Hahndorf, Pine Avenue’s finest were unstoppable. The Pies got home by a comfortable 47 points (13.15 vs 6.10), but the Demons certainly did not disgrace themselves. Have a listen for yourself.

Congratulations to both teams for a great 2018, as well as Hahndorf’s Dylan Madsen for taking out the Best On Ground medal.

2018 Div 2 A Grade Grand Final – Highlights

We’re excited to secure the services of Akaroy Films to shoot the 2018 Mortgage Choice Hills Football League Div 1 and Div 2 A Grade grand finals. Roy has been making films for years, and a sample of his work can be found at the akaroyfilms channel on YouTube.

The Div 2 A Grade Grand Final between Kersbrook and Ironbank will be available soon. In the meantime, Roy has shared a few highlights from the match.  If the footage looks a bit squished, go into full screen mode or click here to watch the video in a new tab.

Check out the Facebook page for more great footage.
